- This job is a member of the Technical Operations Maintenance Planning organization and is responsible for leading the Line Maintenance Planning teams.
- This role has significant operational and financial impact by ensuring aircraft maintenance is properly forecasted, planned, routed, and executed to maintain regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and fleet availability.
What you'll do
- Lead the Line Planning team in the effective scheduling and execution of the total aircraft maintenance program, ensuring optimized use of resources and alignment with operational needs.
- Develop and sustain strong cross‑divisional partnerships, maintaining open and proactive communication with Line Maintenance, Maintenance Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, and all supporting organizations.
- Oversee and drive strategic departmental initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Effectively prepare and lead conference calls, presentations, and meetings, individually or in group settings to update, influence, or persuade stakeholders up to senior leadership.
- Provide guidance and strategic direction for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of maintenance planning automation and optimization systems.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts, leveraging automation, optimization, and process enhancements to increase planning efficiency and reduce operational disruption.
- Demonstrate strong time‑management and organizational capabilities, effectively balancing multiple initiatives and deadline-driven workloads while consistently delivering outstanding internal customer service.
- Partner closely with Finance and Capacity Planning to develop, manage, and align budgets and staffing strategies that meet current and future workload demands.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Aviation, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience
- 5 years of experience in airline maintenance planning, operations, or related technical operations field.
- 3 years of experience in a leadership/management role
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- 5 years experience with Airline Operations (Maintenance Planning Preferred)
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Proven experience in strategic leadership and project management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Experience in team development and mentorship.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think forward - think big picture - have a vision.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Strong ability to lead and motivate others
- Ability to influence decision making using facts/data/trends and validate assumptions.
