Description
You will support the Director of Architecture and System Engineering (ASE) to develop the DAF BATTLE NETWORK and ensure that the Department’s Air and Space Forces’ systems are integrated in order to deter and defeat near-peer adversaries. You will be a national leader in the Department of the Air Force in the area of C3BM data management. The successful candidate will lead the development and management of a consistent strategy for efficient and effective data solutions for multiple efforts in the DAF BATTLE NETWORK. You will interface with program managers, data solution providers, data policy owners, operators, and defense and commercial industry to lead C3BM data strategy.
Responsibilities:
-Manage the organization’s data strategy, ensure data quality, and drive value through data analytics and governance
-Represent C3BM and DAF data needs in executive and senior-level boards, panels, steering groups, and other venues concerning enterprise data management best practices
-Collaborate with DAF PEO C3BM teams (ASE, ABMS, ORT, Ops, Space C3BM) to identify data requirements, prioritize data initiatives, and ensure that data assets are effectively utilized
-Manage data-related compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and cybersecurity standards, ensuring data privacy and security
-Issue C3BM data policy, guidance, and procedures for data at all classification levels
-Support multi-domain data planning and capabilities
-Ensure that authoritative, actionable (current and relevant), assured (accurate and secure), and available (accessible and secure) data is captured and made available to support studies, analyses, and assessments
-Identify infrastructure requirements and coordinate with leadership for data capability requirements
-Review, assist, and direct the progress of contractors in meeting program services and support objectives
-Partner with appropriate organizations to develop standard DAF data processes, practices, and tools that enable DAF communities to operationalize and employ DAF data in support of decisions
Requirements
Required Skills:
-Technical experience with information technology (cloud, networking, communications)
-Deep technical experience with a variety of data solutions and modern software development
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Knowledge of program management and team leadership principles and ability to apply those principles
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely and with technical accuracy, including ability to establish effective working relationships with others
Desired Skills:
-Previous experience with Major Defense Acquisition Program execution
-Previous experience with Special Access Programs
-Knowledge of the laws, principles, policies, and practices of acquisition, life-cycle management planning and program management
-Knowledge of business; management; knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the defense acquisition process
Requirement:
-Must be eligible for/able to obtain a TS-SCI security clearance
-Must be a U.S. citizen
